Homeopathy is a system of natural health care that supports your body’s innate ability to heal. The principal philosophy of homeopathy is that each patient is unique, and that their mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual health are all connected.

Where traditional medical care sees a collection of symptoms and makes a diagnosis, homeopathic physicians look beyond the symptoms, find the true underlying cause of a health problem, and take into account every aspect of the patient’s life that’s influencing the problem.  When homeopathy first emerged, it was used to treat acute conditions like ear infections, fevers, toothaches, colds + flus.

However, it was quickly found that, over time, patients would return with these same conditions. For that reason, the conditions were no longer considered acute, but  a chronic condition. This finding is when homeopathy advanced its holistic approach to include understanding the person as a whole. The reasoning behind this approach was that everyone has their own susceptibility to certain ailments whether it is inherited, acquired, environmental, or a combination of all. This is why all aspects of the person are considered and the reason a homeopath looks beyond present symptoms and physical health.

These unique remedies are made by repeatedly diluting the specific substance. When a plant is used, it’s first cleaned, then mixed with alcohol and water to make a tincture. Then the tincture is diluted, shaken, and diluted again. This is repeated numerous times because you only need a small amount of the remedy to stimulate your body’s healing process.

The best part about them is that they are safe,  gentle, non-toxic and non habit forming.

My journey in health & wellness began with my time spent studying at the Western College of Homeopathic Medicine in Calgary, Alberta.

This alternative health modality has enriched my families and my life in many ways. It is always inspiring to see how homeopathic treatments help to improve a person’s holistic health by removing physical symptoms, as well as relieving stress, emotional pain and other internal causes of suffering.

I am passionate about learning, and an always continuing my education so I am able to pull from, and implement, other wellness modalities into my practice.
